Abstract

The progress of a nation begins with a well-developed education system. The purpose of this study is to describe the learning process with the Application of the Cooperative Model of the Giving Question and Getting Answer Type to Improve the Learning Outcomes of Grade V Science in UPTD SD Negeri 074039 Tandrawana. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research. The research subjects were 21 grade V students. The research instruments in this study included observation sheets, learning outcome tests, and documentation. Data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results showed that the average percentage of observation results of learning activities in Cycle I was 60.00% and 80.83% in Cycle II. The percentage of learning achievement recorded for students who actively participated was 59.36% in Cycle I and 85.41% in Cycle II. By using the Cooperative Model of the Giving Question and Getting Answer Type, the average student learning score in Cycle I was 65.56% which was considered satisfactory. In Cycle II, the average student learning outcome reached 85.14% which was considered good. The results of this study conclude that the implementation of the Question-Giving and Answer-Giving Cooperative Model has the potential to improve the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at the UPTD of SD Negeri 074039 Tandrawana.
