This study aims to analyze the effect of instrument validity and instrument reliability on the feasibility of test and non-test assessments in learning evaluation at SMP Negeri 2 Pangaribuan. High-quality learning evaluation is largely determined by the assessment instruments used; therefore, instruments must meet validity and reliability criteria to produce accurate and trustworthy data. This research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The population consisted of teachers and students at SMP Negeri 2 Pangaribuan. Data were collected through questionnaires, documentation, and literature review. Data analysis techniques included validity testing, reliability testing, and regression analysis to determine the relationships among variables. The results indicate that instrument validity has a positive and significant effect on the feasibility of test and non-test assessments in learning evaluation. In addition, instrument reliability also shows a positive and significant effect on the feasibility of assessment instruments. Simultaneously, validity and reliability contribute substantially to the feasibility of test and non-test instruments, indicating that instruments with high levels of validity and reliability are more appropriate for use in learning evaluation. The implications of this study suggest that teachers should pay close attention to validity and reliability aspects when developing assessment instruments to ensure that learning evaluation is conducted effectively and produces accurate data.
