Abstract

This study aims to analyze the readiness of Elementary School Teacher Education students in integrating global perspectives into Social Studies learning. The study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. The study participants were 86 students who had taken related courses, selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire covering six dimensions: perspective and diversity, understanding of global issues, global communication, global action, pedagogical readiness, and technological readiness. Data analysis was conducted descriptively using the mean value and standard deviation. The results showed that student readiness was in the high category with an average value of 4.09. The dimensions of perspective and diversity and technological readiness obtained the highest scores, indicating strong multicultural awareness and digital literacy of students. Meanwhile, global communication and pedagogical readiness scored relatively lower, indicating limitations in implementing global knowledge into learning practices. These findings indicate a gap between conceptual and implementative readiness, where students have good understanding and attitudes, but still face challenges in applying them in the classroom. Therefore, strengthening pedagogical competencies and practice-based learning experiences is necessary to effectively support the integration of a global perspective.
