Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain how grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kalidawir see the readiness of social studies learning in the modern era. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with 305 grade VIII students for the 2025/2026 school year. The cluster random sampling method was used to select 90 students from classes VIII-A, VIII-B, and VIII-C for the study. There are four indicators, namely teacher readiness, student readiness, learning media readiness, and readiness of facilities and infrastructure. The instrument of this research is the Likert scale questionnaire. To analyze the data, the calculation of averages, percentages, and categories was carried out using descriptive statistics. The results of the study showed that teacher readiness was 80.40%, student readiness was 78.77%, learning media readiness was 79.58%, and readiness of facilities and infrastructure was 78.27%. Overall, students' perception of social studies learning readiness towards the digital era is good, with an average percentage of 79.8%.
